Supporting Tamsin Bowden’s Recovery Race Challenge

We are incredibly proud to share the story of Tamsin Bowden, one of our dedicated members of our Gifted & Talented Scheme, who is currently undertaking recovery training with a powerful purpose… to complete a series of races while raising funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Tamsin’s journey is one of resilience, commitment and community spirit. After facing her own personal challenges, she has made the decision to channel her energy into something truly meaningful, not only rebuilding her strength through focused training but using that journey to support others affected by cancer.

With a growing number of people turning to Macmillan for vital care, advice and support, fundraising like Tamsin’s makes a genuine difference. Every pound raised helps Macmillan continue to be there when people need them most, and Tamsin is determined to do her part.

Her Upcoming Races:

As part of her fundraising challenge, Tamsin has committed to taking part in the following events:

  • Race for Life Worcester - 5K

  • Cheltenham Challenge - 10K

  • Evesham Town 10K - Confirmed

These events are more than just races, they’re milestones in her recovery and an opportunity to raise awareness and funds for a cause that is close to her heart. Tamsin is working hard in her recovery training to build her endurance and confidence, and her progress so far has been truly inspiring.

We’ll be supporting Tamsin every step of the way, and we encourage our wider community to do the same. Whether it’s through a donation, words of encouragement or simply sharing her story, your support means a great deal.
