Droitwich Lido Opens for Summer 2025 & Celebrates 90 Years!
We’re so excited to welcome you all back for another sunny season at Droitwich Spa Lido, with our official summer opening on Saturday 24th May 2025!
As one of the UK’s last remaining inland, open-air saltwater lidos, we’re proud to continue offering a unique space to swim, relax and soak up the sun, right in the heart of Droitwich Spa.
And this year is extra special… because we’re celebrating our 90th birthday!
90 Years of Summer Memories
Our doors first opened on 10th June 1935, and we’ve been making waves ever since. Generations of swimmers have enjoyed our iconic art deco pool, whether for early morning lengths, fun family days or lazy afternoons on the terrace.
To mark this huge milestone, we’ve teamed up with FODSL to bring you a summer packed full of celebrations.
Live Music Evening - 11th June at Little Al’s cafe, featuring acoustic music from Dan Greenaway (a former lifeguard with us!)
Birthday Party - 14th June with a BBQ, pizza ovens and family-friendly fun
Synchronised Swimming Display - 19th July, paying tribute to traditional Lido entertainment
Memory Book Launch - Wychavon District Council are launching a memory book full of photos and stories from our amazing community
Swim 90 Challenge - a fun, inclusive way for everyone to get involved in the celebrations
FODSL have also created a limited-edition 90th anniversary badge, available for £5 (cash only) from the poolside kiosk.
