Free Swimming & Swimming Lessons Available for Wychavon Residents from 1st August
From 1st August 2026, eligible Wychavon residents can enjoy free swimming sessions and free beginner swimming lessons at Evesham and Pershore Leisure Centres, thanks to funding from Wychavon District Council's "We Are Wychavon" Support Fund.
The initiative aims to make swimming more accessible, helping more people enjoy the physical and mental health benefits of being active in the water.
Who can take part?
The scheme is available to:
Children and young people under 16
Adults aged 60 and over
Free public swimming
Eligible residents can enjoy a range of free public swimming sessions, including:
General Swim
Lane Swim
Family Swim
Adult Saver
Parent & Toddler
Whether you're looking to improve your fitness, spend quality time with the family or simply enjoy a swim, there's a session to suit everyone.
Free beginner swimming lessons
A limited number of free beginner swimming lessons are also available.
Lessons are available for:
Starfish
STAnley
Grade 1
Over 8s Beginners
SEN
Adult Beginners
Places are limited, so we encourage anyone interested to register as soon as possible.
How to register
To access both the free swimming sessions and free lessons, you must:
Be a resident of Wychavon
Register at reception
Provide:
Proof of address
Valid ID (such as a passport or birth certificate)
