Movement, Memory & Community - Supporting Brain Health at Every Age
This June, we’re proud to support Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month, an opportunity to raise awareness but to take meaningful steps in supporting brain health, independence and wellbeing in our local community.
We believe fitness is about more than just workouts. It’s about connection, confidence and care, especially as we get older. That’s why we’re passionate about creating inclusive, welcoming spaces where people of all ages, particularly those aged 50+ can keep moving, stay social and feel part of something positive.
Why movement matters for brain health
We all know physical and mental wellbeing, and our centres aim to counter that with friendly faces, welcoming spaces and opportunities to move together.
What we offer - Fitness for life
We’re proud to offer a range of sessions and support for our older members, from light activity to more structured group classes. One of the most popular is our Forever Active programme.
Forever Active classes are:
Low impact and joint friendly
Focused on balance, mobility, coordination and strength
Perfect for those managing long term conditions or recovering from illness
Delivering in a friendly, supportive atmosphere with a real sense of community
Whether you’re coming back to exercise after a break, managing a health condition, or just want to stay mobile and energised, Forever Active is a great place to start (or restart).
We also offer:
Swimming sessions for gentle, low impact cardio
Sauna and wellness facilities to relax and unwind
Racket sports like badminton and table tennis, these are great for fitness and brain coordination
A supportive team always happy to help you find what’s right for you
And because all of our memberships are no contract, it’s simple and stress free to give something new a try.
Community is at the heart of what we do
We know that staying active is easier, and more enjoyable, when you feel part of a community. That’s why our centres across Wychavon are designed to be more than just gyms. They’re local hubs for health, wellbeing and connection.
You’ll often find us:
Hosting free health checks and information sessions
Partnering with local wellbeing organisations
Supporting inclusive initiatives like the BLEES trauma kits rollout
Getting involved in national awareness campaigns (like this one)
We also have friendly, knowledgeable staff who are always happy to chat, if you’re a regular or just popping in to see what we’re all about.
Let’s move forward together
Dementia affects nearly one million people in the UK, and while there’s still no cure, there are things we can all do to support our own brain health and the wellbeing of those around us.
Whether you’re keeping active yourself, supporting a loved one, or just starting to think about your long term health, we’re here for you.
