Learning on the Job - Apprenticeships at Rivers

Apprenticeships are a great way to combine learning with real experience in the workplace, and for our apprentices, that means getting hands on experience within a busy community leisure environment.

We recently welcomed COPA to Evesham Leisure Centre to meet a couple of our apprentices and hear about their experiences of competing an apprenticeship with Rivers Fitness.

Building skills and gaining experience

Working in leisure can offer a varied and rewarding career, with opportunities to develop a wide range of practical and professional skills.

Through an apprenticeship, learners have the opportunity to work alongside experienced members of the team, develop their knowledge and put what they learn into practice as part of their day to day role.

It also gives apprentices valuable experience of working directly within the community and being part of a team that helps local people lead more active and healthy lifestyles.
