Forever Active: Strengthening Body and Community Spirit

We’re excited to introduce our latest addition to our classes at Rivers, “Forever Active” classes. A Strength and Balance class, led by the experienced Jim Carroll. Tailored for people of all fitness levels, especially those who are aged 65 and above, and those with long term health conditions. This class promises to strengthen both the body and community spirit.

Exercise for Every Body

Our Forever Active classes aren’t your typical workout routine. It’s a blend of standing and chair-based exercises, including resistance bands and light dumbells. Whether you’re aiming to build muscle strength, improve your balance, or simply boost your overall confidence, this class has something for everyone.

Under the guidance of Jim Carroll, an experienced fitness professional, participants will begin a journey of physical transformation and empowerment. With Jim’s expert instruction and supportive approach, you’ll feel motivated to push your limits and achieve your fitness goals, all while having fun in a welcoming and inclusive environment.

After each session, participants are invited to enjoy complimentary refreshments and engage in meaningful conversations with Jim, and others taking part in the class. Whether you’re sharing exercise tips, swapping stories, or simply enjoying each other’s company, you’ll find that our class is as much about building relationships as it is about building strength.

Join us for our Forever Active classes, held every Friday at Evesham Leisure Centre (11:30am - 12:30pm, Studio 1) and every Thursday at Pershore Leisure Centre (11:30am - 12:30pm, Studio). With a price of £4.50 per session (FREE for Rivers members!), it’s an investment in your well-being that’s both affordable and invaluable.

Spaces are limited, and out 10-week Pilot Scheme is filling up fast. Book in for a space today by prebooking via the Rivers app, our website, or by contacting the centre directly.
