Our gym is open to people of all abilities, with wheelchair accessible equipment if needed. We allow from 11 Years* & up to use our gym, however 11 – 13 year olds will require a parent or guardian to accompany them or they can join our junior gym sessions – find our more about junior gym.

Our personal training service helps you achieve your health and fitness goals. Our personal trainers are (at least) qualified level 3 fitness professionals who specialise in many different areas such as weight management, injury rehabilitation, sports specific training, nutrition and flexibility. Jason has worked in the health & fitness industry for over 16 years, he thoroughly enjoys helping people of all ages and abilities.
Over the years, he has instructed spin and circuit classes but strength training has always been his main area of interest. Jason previously competed in several ‘Powerlifting’ competitions and utilise heavy resistance in his own workouts.

Rachel Cartwright Call for prices
Rachel has been in the Fitness Industry for around 8 years. After running in marathons, long distance cycling, duathlon events, weightlifting and functional strength – She decided it was time to make her passion her job.
Rachel has three children, so understands the challenges of fitting training around work and family life. She started off with a level 2 fitness instructor qualification and since then has been adding various qualifications to her skillset.

Pete has been working at Rivers since 2008. His time here is divided between working in the gym and instructing a range of group exercise classes- Specifically Pilates, Kettlebells, Spin, Circuits, Metafit™ & On The Ball.
Pete’s specialisms include core strength and tone, fat loss, muscle gain, enhanced fitness, improved flexibility and body image. He can train in many different formats to suit each individual client’s needs, ranging from one to one instruction, small group sessions up to large group exercise!

I started my fitness journey 15 years ago. I have since, taken part in a number of challenge’s, recent ones to mention a midnight marathon, ran part of a marathon in a team, and walked the 3 peaks challenge & took part in a CrossFit style run by the military PTs all of these took place in the Falklands islands during our 2 year stay.
Having successfully passed the level 2 fitness instructor & level 3 personal trainer. I am super excited to help & support clients to create a positive exercising attitude.
I feel I can’t create athletes, I feel I can’t perform miracles. However, I do believe I can help clients understand the importance of a positive mindset and a progressive attitude. And creating a resilient, adaptive, motivated body & mind should be a priority. My PT sessions are transferable lessons that can improve your everyday decision making, self esteem, confidence & self worth.
